On Friday June 4th, 2010 from 7am-9am, Modell’s Sporting Goods will hold a “Craziest Flyers Fan” contest at the Cottman Avenue location in Philadelphia.  Fans will be judged to see who has the most “Flyer’d Up” look.

The Grand Prize will be a (:60) sixty second shopping spree from Modell’s, plus a VIP Viewing party (food and non-alcoholic beverage included) for Game 4  of the Stanley Cup Finals at Chickies & Pete’s South Philly!  Stop by to show your us orange and black, sign the big jersey, and join the Fox-29, Chickies & Pete’s, and the Flyers for plenty of fun and give aways!

Visit the Modell’s Sporting Goods in Mt. Laurel NJ (East Gate Square – 1100 Nixon Drive) on Thursday May 13th from 7-8pm, and meet All-Pro Wide Receiver DeSean Jackson!!! DeSean will be on hand to promote his recently launched football camp for kids, and you can register for his camp while there. Passes for the signing will be distributed to the first 150 fans; only those with a pass are guaranteed an autograph.

Modell’s Sporting Goods and Northeast Catholic High School for Boys are teaming-up to help raise funds towards the school’s end of year celebration. 

Assistant Principal Diane Casey is planning a grand event scheduled to take place May 14^th, which will include fun events for students/alumni as they move closer to the end of the school year.

 To help the school generate funds, Modell’s Sporting Goods will be selling commemorative Northeast Catholic High School tee shirts in their Aramingo Avenue and Cottman Avenue stores. The shirts have a picture of the school , and the school crest on the back.

Modell’s will be donating 100% of the sales from these shirts directly to the school. The shirts will retail for $15 each, and go on sale Thursday April 22nd.

Meet DeSean Jackson at the Modell's on Chestnut Street!

Visit the Modell’s Sporting Goods at 1528 Chestnut Street on Wednesday April 7th from 5-6pm, and meet All-Pro Wide Receiver DeSean Jackson!!! DeSean will be on hand to promote his recently launched football camp for kids, and you can be one of the first people to register for his camp while there. Modell’s will also kickoff a contest where you could win a spot in the camp, and be right next to DeSean! Passes for the signing will be distributed to the first 150 fans; only those with a pass are guaranteed an autograph.

On February 2, 2010 the William Tennant High School boys basketball team took on Pennsbury in a tightly contested battle. Modell’s was also on-site as part of our sponsorship agreement with Tennant to host “Modell’s Night”. Although Tennant lost 60-49, all fans in attendance had a great time thanks to the Modell’s tee shirt toss between each quarter, and the half time 3-point shoot out for a few lucky fans. All contestants received Modell’s gift cards for participating, and even the Tennant Panther go caught up in the “MO”ment by tossing some tee shirts to spectators.
